Dreams, memories and recollections are fragments of the places we’ve been to . When we remember something, we not only think of the people but also of the surroundings. We see abstract versions of the moment. Versions that are not totally true, but create a certain familiarity. Just as we keep memories with architecture, the architecture also keeps memories of its inhabitants.
The materials of the pavilion were chosen precisely to represent the above. Creating a surreal space, but at the same time familiar. A cube is an easily recognizable figure . The polycarbonate creates a cloudy idea of what is inside. The sand allows guests to leave traces or marked moments. Finally, the can walls create a distorted and surreal space. These materials combined, generate a journey of mystery and discovery. Like our memories, they are fragments of the site.
